I Choose Faith, Hope and Love

What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?

The strategies I use to cope with negative feelings:

1. Love and Positivity – I think positively, I try to see the best in myself and those around me.
2. Faith and Love – I do a devotional every morning. This year, I am reading the bible every day, something I never thought I had time for. Love, being supportive to family and friend. Listening, reaching out and being available.
3. Rosary – We pray the rosary a few times a week. We typically have family members we are praying for.
4. Meditation – I reflect on myself, on things I need to do. I create goals and then I take small steps to work toward the goal.
5. Attitude – My attitude is forward thinking, positive and supportive.
6. Kindness – Kindness is like magic! Its magical for me and for the recipient. Kindness can be a game changer. It helps me not to get too self-absorbed.
These are my strategies that help me to remain grounded and calm during these chaotic and confusing times. I’ve been on enough roller coasters to know when:
I’m on the way up…
I am reaching the top and finally.
I am plummeting down!
Positivity, loving and kind thoughts are a choice.

Lastly, negative thoughts are not bad, in fact negative feelings help us get the good ones! Just don’t stay with negative thoughts too long…they are a downer!
